Wastewater-Heatrecovery in thermal baths
Here is an example of a thermal spa in Germany, where three Fercher wastewater heat exchangers type AWT-924 (narrower predecessor version of the AWT 928) are installed:
An average of 1,000 visitors visit the thermal baths daily, resulting in a hot water consumption of approximately 20 m³ per day for the showers. The wastewater exits the showers at an average temperature of 31°C and is piped through three AWT-924s, which are located in the basement. The incoming cold water is preheated from 8°C to 20°C by the heat exchangers. |

Two AWT-928 heatexchangers are installed in an Austrian spa facility and connected in series. Wastewater heat energy is also recovered from the mud bath wastewater. The built-in spray system ensures that the heat exchanger maintains its efficiency at all times. The heatexchangers were installed on top of each other, but many other configurations are possible. |
